Is it not annoying to know that suddenly you are facing a complete Operating System failure, something that happened by merely switching on the system? The moment you turn on your system, you see the dreadful message on your screen as clear as the daylight. You may also be one among the several computer users to experience this worst experience. However, you do not know how to move about it, as your computer was in a good condition a few minutes ago. There are ways to avoid this difficulty happening to you. If you are really prepared for this, then there would be no problem!
Whoever may experience this difficulty, panic is generally the first and foremost thing that might set into their minds. This is due to the complete operating system crash that apparently keeps the business entrepreneurs, especially who are working from home, out of the business spectrum, for an indefinite period. Trying to restore your system is a time-consuming process. It is highly impossible to carry on your work in when you have lost your precious data. The first and the foremost thing is to record all the necessary details such as usernames, passwords, key websites, business account numbers, and especially the unlock codes of the software. Instead of relying too much on technology, one can make a note of it, on a paper and maintain it safely. As this is highly sensitive information, one needs to store it in a secure place.
Taking regular backups of the most important data, if possible, every day, helps a lot. One should be careful that when backing up the data, one should have a different backup disk or tape cassette for various days of the week. Especially, when the operating system is reinstalled, the data contained in folder ‘My documents’ would be lost sometimes. Therefore, one has to keep this in mind while taking backups.
One must make sure that all the zip files, ‘.exe’ files and the software install are saved onto a disk or any other storage device. Repairing or reinstalling of the system may vary from being reasonably fast and easy to perform to becoming a lengthy and complicated process. One can reverse the system crash on his own, if he has the necessary expertise to perform the task. If not, it is always better to seek the help of a computer repair specialist to bring the system back to normal. It is definitely more desirable than putting in the extra efforts by the computer users themselves. |
